Traditionally, our family has always eaten salad at the end of the meal…before dessert of course.  It seems to aid the digestion process and get our bellies ready for dessert.  Maybe it cleanses the pallet, or maybe it’s just one of those things passed down through generations that we no longer question because it has become habit.  Whatever point in the meal you prefer your salad is the perfect time, just fit it in somewhere…it’s good for you.
